Like many small coastal communities Old Saybrook will face challenges – and real opportunities over the next few years. 

• Climate change may threaten our homes and beaches but the right investments can protect our infrastructure, property and natural resources.

• Declining enrollment may challenge the independence of our schools but providing more Pre-K and building more workforce housing can attract younger families.

• Sprawling growth could jeopardize our small town feel but we can still plan and zone for a vibrant economic future.

As Democrats, we cherish the beauty and charm of Old Saybrook but we also believe we must invest to preserve what we love.  The time to take action on the plans we’ve built is NOW.  Delaying will only increase the cost.
