The elected Boards and Commissions here in Old Saybrook are key to our future. They help to shape our economic growth, our stock of housing, the amenities we enjoy, the quality of our schools and the financial underpinnings that make all of these things possible. They shape the policies that govern our town and they determine where we invest and what rules we live by. Click here to see descriptions of each elected Board and Commission.
Being Part of a Local Campaign
Many people would like to serve their community and help to shape its future but they aren’t comfortable running for office. That’s where the Democratic Town Committee comes in. We run the campaign for and with you. You are not alone. We work with you to develop your message. We train you to knock on doors – and we send our volunteers out with you – and, when you are not available, on your behalf. We work with you on videos that are posted on social media. We develop mail pieces that reach every voter’s home and describe who you are and why you are running. We make sure you meet as many voters as possible. We run positive campaigns that are FOR something – for greater investment in the things that make Old Saybrook special.
This year, the Democratic Town Committee is recruiting people interested in making a difference for the following openings – if you are interested in any of these opportunities, please email us at info@oldsaybrookdemocrats.com
